michael deragon

m.deragon is a multimedia artist holding degrees from keene state college, goddard college and california institute of the arts. deragon is a former professor of surrealism, film noir, poetry, postmodernism and literature. his musical endeavors (prajna, the water section, the great invisibles) have shared the stage with john zorn, songs ohia, smog, lee renaldo (sonic youth) and michael patton among others. deragon has played hundreds of gigs on both coasts of the u.s. his poetry and collages have appeared in countless journals. currently he is composing an original score to an eight minute short film, working with a new band called the cooling time, preparing collages for gallery shows in los angeles, gigging extensively, composing video poems and is wrapping up a book length manuscript of prose poems on the tenacity of sound and the sounds of loss.
